Susan Ramsey Merchant

Mrs. Susan Ramsey Merchant, 57, of Sylvester, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Phoebe North Campus. Services honoring the life of Mrs. Merchant will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 15, 2021, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Joseph W. Jones will officiate. Mrs. Merchant was born in Asheville, North Carolina on July 2, 1963 to the late Herman and Mary Ramsey. Mrs. Merchant was employed with the Sumter County School System where she served as a primary school teacher. Mrs. Susan spent most of her free time reading, crocheting, and cooking. She is often remembered by her caring heart and positive attitude throughout her lifetime. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Ramsey and a precious little grand-daughter, Miss Aniyah Faye Farley. Survivors include her husband, Boyd Merchant; children, Shane, Suzette, Justin, Zackery, Boyd and Morgan; two grand-daughters, AnnaLee and Addison; as well as two sisters, Sandra and Sherry. Hall and Hall Funeral Home has been given the honor to serve the Merchant family.
