Sylvia A (White) Loewenthal

Mrs. Sylvia Annette White Thompson Loewenthal, 67, of 3002 Treasure Ave. Albany, GA. went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, Sunday, January 13, 2013 from her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Following the service the family will follow Sylvia’s wishes and her remains will be cremated. Sylvia would not want anyone to cry for her because she believed she was going to a better place to be with Jesus. Her cremains will be scattered around her fish pond and beloved pet shitz dogs that had passed over the years. She loved shitz dogs and ran Sylvia’s Shitz Company for many years raising and selling them. Born August 26, 1945 in Albany, Mrs. Loewenthal was the daugher of the late Bernis Vernon White and the late Ann Sprayberry Parker. Sylvia worked at many places in her life including, Firestone Rubber, Coats and Clark, Sears, JC Penny’s, Ramada Inn, Cubby Hole, Mrs. Kitty’s Lounge, Blue Max Bar, James River Motel and then retired with her husband from trucking from Crete Trucking Company. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her there children, Ernest Winslow Thompson; grandmother, Vera Golden Sprayberry and grandfather, General Lee Sprayberry; her birth mother, Ann Celia White and her husband Jimmy Parker; her birth father, Bernis Veron White and his wife, Edna Gore White; grandson, Troy Thomas Welch Sr.; great-grandson, Troy Thomas Welch and ex-husband, Leon Shank. Survivors include her husband, John Loewenthal of Albany; son, Jerry Ernest Thompson and wife Jamie of Albany; two daughters, Glory Ann Thompson Welch Young and husband, Mike of Albany and Theresa Marie Thompson McCall Herndon AKA (Tisi) and husband William of Sylvester; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Robin White of Sylvester; sister, Bonita Jackson of Valdosta; step brothers and sisters, Dean Gore Kathy Sizemore, Trudy Lightfoot, James Parker, Kevin Parker, Brain Parker, Penny Parker, Jill Parker and ex-husband, Tommy Hembree; grandchildren, Rebecca Welch, Jason Welch, Lekita McCall, Joseph McCall, Joshua Woods, Jerry Thompson, Jr., Mandy Thompson, Gary Thompson; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
