Sylvia Diane Hollis

Sylvia Diane Hollis, 58, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Pruitt Health Palmyra in Albany.

A memorial service will be held at Open Door Fellowship on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Karen Carr will offciate.

Born August 28, 1964, in LaGrange, she was the daughter of the late John Morgan Hollis and Mrs. Sylvia Carden Thompson. She was a faithful member of Open Door Worship in Sylvester and loved the Lord dearly. Along with being active in her church she was also involved in the Southwest Georgia Theological Seminary where she earned a Doctor of Theology degree. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who affectionately called her “Nanny.” A beloved mother, daughter, sister, friend, and Nanny, she will be greatly missed by all.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Hollis and nephew, Robbie Allen.

Survivors include her two sons, Christopher Webb (Ashley) and Joshua Webb (Donna Browning); mother, Sylvia Thompson; siblings, John Alan Hollis and Tracey Curry; her grandchildren, C.J., Caleb, Carlea; and a host of nephews, great-nieces, and extended family.

Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Hollis family.
