Ual Hartley

Mr. Ual Hartley, 87, of Leesburg, passed away, Friday, September 19, 2014 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2014 at Thundering Springs Baptist Church 190 Thundering Springs Rd. Leesburg, GA. Bro. Sonny Elton Anderson and Bro. Larry Jernigan will officiate with interment to follow in the Thundering Springs Cemetery. Born April 10, 1927, in Leesburg, GA, Mr. Hartley was the son of the late Dock Hartley and Annie Mae Barfield Hartley. He was a truck driver for Railway Express for many years. Mr. Hartley loved his Lord, his wife and his family more than anything. A devoted couple for over sixty-four years, Mr. Hartley and his wife shared a special code 1-4-3-7 “I LOVE YOU, DARLING.” He was a faithful member of Thundering Springs Baptist Church of Leesburg and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hartley was preceded in death by his daughter, Marilynn Hartley. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Louise Hartley of Leesburg; daughters, Matria Elizabeth Hardy (Robert) of Mt. Plymouth, FL; sons, Willie Harold Hartley (Beth) of Leesburg and Dock Hartley, Jr. of Leesburg; sisters, Grace Bowden of Leesburg; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Willson Hospice House at 320 Foundation Lane Albany, GA. 31707 or Gideon’s International 2724 Ledo Rd.
