Mrs. Velma Fallin Tanner, 74, of Albany, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
Born on July 29, 1949, at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C., Mrs. Tanner was the daughter of the late Sterling Fallin, Sr., and Janie Powers Fallin. She retired from Coats and Clark, enjoyed cooking, and loved being a Nana to her grandchildren. She was a member of East Albany Church of God for many years, loved The Lord and her family more than anything. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tanner was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Tanner, and her grandson, Davis Furman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Lisa Furman and David of Albany, and Tara Pollock of Baconton; 3 grandchildren, Tony Pollock, Nicole Pollock, and Lee Furman; 2 great-grandchildren, Kenzleigh Pollock, and Anthony Pollock; siblings, Sterling Fallin, Jr., James Fallin, and Billy Fallin, Sr.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In accordance with the wishes of Mrs. Tanner her remains will be cremated, and the family will host a private service.
