Mrs. Vera Evelyn Lovett, 83, of Albany, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Willson Hospice Center. The Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2011, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Reverend Mark Sickling and Mr. Bobby Hall will officiate. Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Acree will serve as active Pallbearers. Mrs. Lovett was born June 11, 1928 in Thomas County, to the late Homer and Annie Mae Salter Fletcher. Mrs. Lovett was married to Jasper Archibald Lovett who preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Acree for 38 years. Mrs. Lovett loved fishing and will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Survivors include her daughters; Shirley Ann Hembree and her husband Charles of Albany, and Sherry Silvi and her husband Peter of Baconton; brothers, J.C. Fletcher of AL, and Homer “Junior” Fletcher and his wife Mabel of Cocoa, FL; her sisters, Joyce Harris and her husband Delma of Rockledge, FL, and Linda Slade of Charlotte, NC; Four Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren. The Family will be at the home of Shirley and Charles Hembree and they will receive friends Thursday evening between the hours of 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm at Hall Hall Funeral Home.
