Virginia Ann (Rainey ) Peters

Virginia Ann Peters, 64, of Albany, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Dr. Charlie Rouse will officiate and the family will receive friends following the service. Born November 30, 1952 in Americus, Mrs. Peters was a loving homemaker that enjoyed gardening and reading. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband and was always looking for ways to help others. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, R.C. Rainey. Survivors include her husband, Eric W. Peters; mother, Carolyn Rainey of Albany; children, Duane Closs of Seattle Washington, Daniel and Genea Closs of Durham, NC, Ryan and Kayla Peters of Leesburg and Rachel and Jake Sartain of Lake Tahoe, CA; brothers, Jim and Debbie Rainey of Ocean Springs, MS, Dennis and Debbie Rainey of Albany; sisters, Wanda and Bill Ellington of Darien, GA and Carol Chatman of Albany; grandchildren, Alex, Ryleigh, Luke, Britton and Shiloh.
