Mrs. Wanda A. Pantone, 73, of Albany, passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Reverend Paul Wilkes will officiate with interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Pantone was born July 5, 1937 in Alabama to the late Wilburn R. Jenkins and Jennie Parker Gregory. Later in life she moved to Albany and met and married Jack Pantone. She loved cooking and to her family she was the worldrsquo;s best. She taught her family members and anybody else who wanted to learn how to cook. She especially loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a caring and strong willed heart. Mrs. Pantone was a woman of strong Christian faith and attended the First Southern Methodist Church of Albany. She enjoyed traveling and loved the beach. She was a co-owner of Albany Guard and Security Services Inc. and later worked with Courier Dispatch until she retired. Mrs. Pantone never missed a day of work for over thirty-five years. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and many friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pantone was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Pantone; brothers, Gene Jenkins and Richard Jenkins. Survivors include her children, John Pantone; Darrell (Julie) Pantone, Jennifer Pantone; grandchildren, Billy Pantone, Cami Pantone, Lisa Pantone and Jill Pantone; great-grandchild, Matt Pantone; brothers, Robert (Lynn) Jenkins and Ronald (Elaine) Jenkins; Sister, Kathy (David) Levins; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
