Mr. Wilkins Bill Fleming Barbre, 76, of Albany, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at his home. Services honoring the life of Mr. Barbre will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2011 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. John Spencer will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. A native of Dougherty County, Mr. Barbre was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Barbre and Sarah Fleming Barbre; two brothers, Sam Barbre and Ben Barbre. He is survived by three brothers, Jim Barbre and wife, Cyndi of Acworth, GA, Bob Barbre and wife, Teresa of Albany, GA and Richard Barbre and wife, Sandy of Orange City FL; five sisters, JoAnne Hutchinson of Lake Park, GA, Margaret Jolly and husband, John of Cedartown GA, Judy Wilson of Cartersville GA, Frankye LeMay of Albany, GA., Ginny Collins of Greenville, SC; eleven nephews, sixteen nieces and numerous great nephews and nieces. Mr. Barbre was employed at Sunnyland Farms, Inc. for thirty-one years as the Shelling Plant Manager. He was an active member of Beulah United Methodist Church. A long time volunteer with Flint River Habitat for Humanity, Mr. Barbre was the Volunteer of the year in 2003. In appreciation for his service to Habitat he was awarded the FordTown Mayor of the month award in 2005 and was the recipient of the 2005 King Celebration Award. He was a faithful donor to the American Red Cross having donated more than six gallons of life giving blood over the past twenty five years. Albany GA. 31707.
