Mr. William “Buddy” Calhoun, 59, of Albany, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at his home. Born October 29, 1955 in Albany, Mr. Calhoun was the son of the late Willie Calhoun and Willie Mae Calhoun. He was known as a hard working man having worked for many years at the Rochelle Golf course providing the maintenance for the course. He was always willing to help anyone he could. Buddy was “all about family” and loved them dearly. He enjoyed watching all types of sports on T.V. and also enjoyed deep sea fishing and playing pool. Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-laws, William Calhoun Jr. of Jackson, Gene and Wendy Calhoun, Joshua and Casey Davis, and Wayne Davis all of Albany; his daughters, Heather Freeman and her husband Tony Watts, and Shaunda Davis all of Albany; his brothers, Johnny and his wife Omie Calhoun, and Jimmy Calhoun both of FL; his sisters, Jeanette Miller, Tina McCubbins, Marie Parker all of Albany, and Elizabeth Abbott of Cordele; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Calhoun has been cremated and the family will hold a memorial service for him on Friday, November 14th. For more information you are invited to contact the family members.
