Mr. William C. “BILLYBOB” Tedrick, III, 65, of Sylvester, GA was called home to be with The Lord on Friday, October 14, 2022. He passed away at home, supported by his beloved wife Kathy and family.
BILLYBOB was born in Hagerstown, MD to the late William Carlton Tedrick and Mary Potter Tedrick. He grew up and lived his life in the Albany and Sylvester area. BILLYBOB was a man to be loved and admired. He supported and loved his business partners and buddies, Joe Potter, Lane Potter, Rick Stotler, and David Jordon. Many thanks to Carl Buckhalter and Roger Maples and the extended Potter Motor Company family. He also supported and assisted many individuals, families, and small businesses. He was an astute businessman, and at the same time, he had a compassionate and generous soul. The measure of a man is his spirit, character, and integrity. BILLYBOB defined this, his friends numbered in the hundreds, if not thousands.
BILLYBOB leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 40 years, Kathy “KAT” Tedrick; sister, Robin Terry; stepdaughter, Mae Stokes and Chris; stepson, Edward Moody and Lindsey; his son, William “Tony” Tedrick; sister’s-in-law, Karen Sutphin, Kris Miller, and Pam Harris; grandchildren, Chase, Connor, Collier, and Maegan. BILLYBOB leaves many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, a host of other family, and many lifelong friends and “Brother’s”, John Clark, Darrell “FATBOY” Blakey, Bruce Lovett, Flip Fletcher, and Adam Langley, among others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Tedrick; his uncle, Jim Potter; his mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Hoyt Brackett; and his brother’s-in-law, Barry Sutphin and Bill Miller.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 22, 2022, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home 324 South Mock Road Albany, GA 31705.
