William Paul Tyson

April 16, 1931 — October 12, 2010

Mr. William Paul Tyson, 79, of Baconton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Born on April 16, 1931 in Moultrie, Mr. Tyson was the son of the late Frank B. Tyson and Rhoda Thomas Tyson. He was owner of the Tire and Battery Mart of Albany for many years. Mr. Tyson was a Godly Man who loved the Lord with all his heart and proved that by the way he lived his life. He loved gospel music and was of the Holiness faith. Surly our loss is Heavenrsquo;s gain. In addition to his parents, his first wife, Lois Shiver Tyson his sister, Frances Sweat and his brothers, Curtis and Ernest Tyson, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Lousie Smith Tyson of Baconton; sons, Van Tyson of Albany, Ellis Tyson and wife Sheri of Augusta; daughters, Gloria Hancock of Live Oak, FL., Dale Dodson and husband, Ty of Birmingham, AL.; brother, Earl Tyson and wife, Dorothy of Oglethorpe; sister, Joyce Gray and husband, Dave of Spokane, WA.; grandchildren, Ginger, Shellie, Randy, Gretchen, Jessica, Lex, Zachary, Samatha, , Cliff, Skylair and Morgan; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Tyson, C.J., Anna, Caroline and Juliana. The family will receive friendsnbsp;Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
