Wilma D. Robinson Hooten

Wilma D. Robinson Hooten, 67, of Mathews, AL and formally of Albany, GA, passed away, Monday, December 21, 2009 in Cleveland, TN. Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Hooten will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Reverend Robin Chaplin will officiate with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, GA. Wilma D. Robinson Hooten was born in Adcock, KY, daughter of the late Burham Robinson and Rosie Potter Robinson. She worked for many years as a caregiver, enjoyed playing Dominos and loved traveling with her grandchildren. Mrs. Hooten was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. In addition to her parents, her husband, Willie H. Hooten, preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Michael Hooten and his wife, Kim of Sylvester; daughters, Donna Hooten of Cleveland, TN, Wanda Hood and her husband, Darrell of Old Fort, TN; her companion, Sanford Grubbs of Mathews, AL; brother, Herman Robinson of Anderson, IN; sisters, Virgie Poore of Alexandria, IN, Sharon Greene of Fairmount, IN, Shirley Adams of Knoxville, TN and Bobbie Spalding of Anderson, IN; twelve grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 23rd from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
